Merging word file single pdf

just upgraded to adobe pro DC. when i select mutilple word files, right click and select combine as pdf i get a single pdf in the usual way but each indiviual word doucment is opened and stays open in the merging process. Is there a way to turn this feature off as i can have 50plus files to merge i dont need them to open i just need final combined pdf thanks
