Microsoft Office formats not supported in Acrobat DC

I have Office 2013 and just downloaded Acrobat DC hoping it would solve this same problem I was having in Acrobat Pro XI. When I try to create a PDF file from some Word documents, I cannot select them, and none of the Microsoft files show in the list of supported formats. Also, when I go into Preferences and click on Convert To PDF, none of the Microsoft formats are listed there.either. I've seen this issue numerous times on the discussion board, but I don't seem to have been able to find a solution to this problem. Is there a solution to this, because this is a very important feature for me.

Make sure you update Acrobat to the latest version available and if the problem persists run a Repair Installation from the Help menu.

I'll try the repair option and see if it works, because I just downloaded the Acrobat DC last night, so it's the latest version.

That is not always the case. It is possible the incremental updates are posted but the fully updated version is not posted for distribution.

Sometimes the order in which the products are installed can affect how the interact. MS Office should be installed before Acrobat. Usually Repair Installation can fixe this issue. There could also be issues of previous versions of Acrobat not be uninstalled before the new version is installed. In this case one needs to fully remove Acrobat with Adobe's removal tool and then install the latest version. If this is an upgrade make sure you have the previous versions serial number or authorization code.

I almost always reboot or cold boot my system after updates or installs to make sure all needed install or removal processes are completed.

Which specific MS Office file types are not showing? Word's DOC, DOCX, and RTF should be available as well as XLS, XLSX, and PPT. MS Publisher is not compatible with Acrobat's conversion process but you should be able to print to the PDF Printer or use Microsoft's Publisher's Save as PDF option.
