Moving/deleting existing check boxes in Acrobat DC.

I am trying to move/delete existing check boxes in Acrobat DC and I cannot do anything with them AT ALL. They just sit there. I can 't select them, delete them, or move them.  I have full access to the form so should be able to so this.  The tutorial is LESS THAN USEFUL and does not cover nearly the functionality it should.  Driving me crazy ) :
