my product code is not working

I purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, the Student and Teacher Edition. I need to validate my eligibility, and when I started that process I was asked to enter the product code. Every time I tried to enter the product code, I get a notice that I need to enter a valid product code. What steps do I need to take to resolve my issue?
