Need Advice To Automate Exporting PDF to XML

I have a requirement to take PDFs and export them to XML in some automated fashion. If this could be done via Powershell that would be great. I've been reading about the Adobe SDK and Javascript but cannot figure out if these would work. I do not wish to purchase anything and want the code footprint at a minimum. Any advice is appreaciated.

The Acrobat SDK is a tool for automating Acrobat. That's what you need to buy/subscribe to. It is NOT a replacement or tool for making PDF apps. Acrobat Reader is not Acrobat.

Acrobat is either Acrobat Pro or Acrobat Standard. Not all features are in Acrobat Standard but the basic objects are there.

AcroExch is a COM object. I have no idea if you can use COM from Powershell. Tip: this is absolutely not for any kind of server or dark room use.

"I do not wish to purchase anything" - do you mean you aren't running Acrobat (paid product) at all? The Acrobat SDK tells you how to automate Acrobat, not do without it...

Did some reading on Acrobat Prod DC SDK trying to figure out what language/scripting tool could be used. Most of what I found referred to plugins and C++ which won't be possible in my environment. I also found articles talking about a COM Object called AcroExch which can be used in Powershell scripting. I think this is also part of the Acrobat Prod DC download but am not sure.

Is there is a lesser product that would still provide the COM Object AcroExch?
