New scan with my A. Acrobat XI

I can scan documents with my new printer Cannon MX475 with my adobe acrobat. When I want to crate a new document with the scan I can not do it because I can choose the device. I can print well but I can scan!! Help me please!

You say you can scan but I will take that as cannot scan. Did you install the software that came with the scanner, and can that scan?

Sorry I do not understand. You say you can scan and you can choose the device so where is the problem?
