Nothing happens when I save as PDF/A

When I have multiple documents to save as pdf/a's, it is very hap hazard whether or not it will work. It will typically work for the first document that I attempt and beyond that nothing will happen. Is there anything that I can do to fix this?

I'm working in Adobe Acrobat X 10.1.6 on a Mac OS X El Captain 10.11.6

Would like to inform you that Adobe Acrobat X is not compatible with Mac OS El Capitan.

It may or may not work properly.
