someone sent me a secured pdf document, when I click on it, I get a window asking for my email and password to open it, but then get an error message (error 503).  It is imperative that I open the document..but I don't know how!

Correct answer kglad

I have contacted the sender...only to get this message:

Sorry for the inconveniences.

Our Purchase Order file is too large to be sent directly as an attachment. Purchase/buying terms and procedures are detailed in the Protected Pdf document like i told you previously in my email.

Due to the size and Security of both parties the pdf file is sent via the New Secured Adobe Document Cloud. You will have to login with your correct email and password combination as prompted by Adobe to access these files.

Thank you and hope to hear from you soon.

Regards

I don't seem able to get a resolution from Adobe either...

that's because it doesn't look like an adobe problem.

but if you want try adobe support, using a browser that allows popups and cookies, contact adobe support during pst business hours by clicking here and, when available, click 'still need help', https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html

open it with chrome > print as a pdf > open the printed pdf with acrobat (if that's what you want).

Well, I tried.   I installed Google Chrome, went to my email, right clicked on the attachment, tried print, the only thing that shows up is the sign in page for Acrobat..then, the whole mess starts again...it won't recognize my sign in -yet I do have an account ( the first person to reply to my dilemma asked if the sender sent me a password.).no they didn't
