I have a doc which I use a script to open and place field info into other documents. Everything works fine, but I would like to know if it is possible to place the same field info into other types of docs. I mean like Word or Excel, etc. Not just PDF's docs. Is that possible? Using Acrobat Pro X.

Not possible with Acrobat Javascript.

Acrobat works with PDF files, nothing else. Yes, you can open other types of file, but it is a conversion. If you open a Word document for example, it is converted to PDF, and the PDF is opened. Nothing you do to that PDF will affect the original Word document - of course you need to keep the original for editing.
