"Our records indicate the serial number...is invalid"

I transferred Acrobat 9 Pro license from old to new pc; both Windows 7.  I didn't deactivate it until it was installed on the new pc.  I followed Solution 2 of this article:  Error: "The serial number is not valid for this product" | Adobe Creative Suite and still get the same error after uninstalling and reinstalling.  Please advise; thanks in advance.

make sure you followed solution 1 and then try the other 3 solutions, if necessary.

The other solutions don't apply.  This isn't Creative Suite; just out right purchased version of Acrobat 9.  In the title bar of error message it says:  ...:Revoked.  This tells me it isn't a local issue but needs to be corrected on Adobe's side.  They don't offer phone support so I'm hoping an employee can help via this forum.
