Question

Overwrite "This page contains renderable text" without converting to another pdf or tif and back again, which loses bookmarks

Exactly what the title said. I am trying to OCR hundreds of pdfs which contain both bookmarks and footers, which are causing the OCR to not run on the rest of the page because this page already "contains renderable text". I need to be able to overwrite the existing "renderable text" with a fresh OCR which captures the whole page. Online I see a lot of direction to convert to a TIF or print to PDF and try again, but this will not work as I need to preserve the bookmarks in the document. Help! Thanks!
