PDF edit and save

After doing OCR to change image PDF to text to be able to edit, can I save the edited document in both Word and PDF?
I used another software to change PDF image to text, edited and saved.  When I saved the edited doc in Word, it was saved including edit.  But when I saved the edited doc in PDF, it didn't reflect any edit and kept the original (before edit).  It's said that it is because the view is always image (the image never changes after edit) although text behind can be edited.

With Acrobat DC, can I actually change the view after editing and save the doc in PDF and Word reflecting edit?

What OCR options do you use?

I don't have acrobat, yet and I'm thinking about buying it if it can do what I need.  Is there any OCR option that allow me to do what I described above ? (With Acrobat DC, can I actually change the view after editing and save the doc in PDF and Word reflecting edit?)

You can use the trial version of Adobe Acrobat.
