PDF - Force save as only.

I am making two form is Adobe pro (newest version). I am useing the full form on an iPad and emailing the finished product. The issue I am having is that it saves the form and I have to delete everything before re-useing it.

Is there a way to make it "save as" only? I'm have tried everything I know and I don't have much hair left to pull out.  Or any other was to I might not be thinking of. Thanks for any advise.

I can use any program. I also have adobe acrobat on my phone. I can get one or the other to work. If I use a basic pdf and adobe sign, them I can fill out everything, and sign it. BUT It only saves the original and I can't use it again. If I use a form, and the reset button I can't get a signature on my phone.  Im sure this is clear as mud.


What I use and recommend on iOS is Readdle's PDF Expert. Signature fields that you add using Acrobat are treated as a type of e-signature field. It also has a lot better support for PDF forms and JavaScript than any other mobile PDF viewer. After you sign, you have the option of flattening the form when emailing, which is a handy feature. It essentially ensures that the recipients won't have problems viewing the filled and signed form.

On a mobile device, begin by creating a copy of the original blank form and work with the copy. It's the opposite of what you'd do on the desktop version.

Thanks for everyone reply. I made a reset button, and it resets everything but the signature that I created in adobe sign on my iPhone. The signature still stays, and I can not seem figure out how to make a copy. If I make a signature box on my computer, it does not show up on the iPhone app.

If by "signature box" you mean a digital signature field, then it won't show up in Adobe Sign because it doesn't support digital signatures. It's raison d'être is for e-signing, which is nothing like digitally signing.

Regarding making a copy, I was thinking about Adobe (Acrobat) Reader, not Adobe Sign.

Method one:

Lock the file: Cmd + I on Mac, RM > Properties on Windows or Alt + Enter, unless it changed within the last 10 years. Make a note on the form telling them they will need to Save As so they are not angry.

Method two:

Create a Reset button that will clear the form when you click it.

Method three:

If you are on Acrobat Pro DC, Clear Form is under More. In XI and X it's in the Right Hand panel under Forms.

I vote for Method #2.
