PDF form checkbox fills

The checkboxes in my form have solid squares when clicked except 4 which have small squares. These 4 have rules next to the checkbox instead of type. How do I get these 4 to match the others? File was created in Indesign CC and exported as a PDF.

Are they set up as check box fields in InDesign, or did you add the check box fields in Acrobat?

The ones that have a solid square are set up in Indesign. The 4 with the smaller square I had to add in Acrobat, because they converted to text fields when I converted the PDF in Prepare Form.

It's possible to create field appearances in InDesign that you cannot in Acrobat, so you probably won't be able to match the ones that originated in InDesign. There may be some things you can do in Acrobat to come close, such as changing the border style, font size, and check box style.

What you can do is use InDesign to create a simple document that contains the new check boxes you want, generate a new PDF, and copy & paste the newly generated check boxes to your form.
