Question

PDF Pack?

I am not even sure what I am asking as I am completely unfamiliar with the product. I have paid for the Adobe PDF pack... seemed like a good idea at the time - be able to edit documents and such that I have received in an email. Was able to do it one time out of literally dozens of times, no clue how I did it and get too frustrated each time I try to continue, so just print things out and actually type them in on a typewriter. Adobe couldn't have made this this difficult, but my computer skills are quite limited.

I download something from an email - say someone sends me a form to complete - then what do I do from there? From what I can figure out, the forms get downloaded as a pdf file, but how do I then do anything with them like add things?

Is there anywhere on this site I can get help? I have clicked until I am just totally frustrated, but can't seem to find anything here to point me in the right direction - not even can find a description of the product itself? As I said, my skills are limited and I don't know where to begin.

Thanks

PDF Pack is not designed to help you fill forms.

1. If a form was made "fillable" by the person who made it, just type on it.

2. If not, you can add comments (even without PDF pack) but this is slow and tedious.

PDF Pack lets you create PDFs from Word and Excel files, and export them back to Word and Excel (though they may not look much like the original). Never export forms to Word, they won't look enough like the original.

Actually editing needs the Acrobat product, but this is uncertain and tedious. PDF files are really not good for this stuff.

You may fins some of what you are looking for in the tutorials.  With that grounding the help materials may help.  For filling in the forms, you only need the "Adobe Reader DC" which is free and can be downloaded with a search for it. Adobe Acrobat DC opens a file in "fill in mode" so if that's what you have you might just need to try it. A lot of learning to use software is just trying what seems reasonable, and if that does not work try something less reasonable (like pressing the space bar when focused on having or not having a field submitted - clicking does not do it)..

Thank you for taking the time to reply, any idea where the tutorials are ? I will try that as I have no understanding of either reply to my question. It can't be this difficult!

Hi ,

Would like to inform you that Adobe PDF Pack is for Converting & creating PDF files.

If you want to edit any Pdf file, this can be done using Acrobat Pro .

If you want to fill a form, this can be done by Acrobat Pro & if the form is available for Adobe Reader(Free version) users (this can be done by Form manufacturer) , form can be filled by reader user as well .

You may open the form as like a normal PDF file & then fill the form.

Regards,

Yatharth

So, if I receive a PDF file from someone that needs to be filled in, like an application, I cannot do it with the PDF Pack?

The way your reply is worded it sounds like I should be able to add/change/edit any Pdf file regardless of whether I have the PDF Pack or the Pro version.

I know I have been able to take something sent and then work with it, though sometime the formatting has to be changed once it opened in a Word document.

What is the advantage to the PDF pack? Are you able to provide me with a simple example?

Thank you,
