Provide some more information about the particular PDF files and how they are created and maybe we can assist.

Created from a Microsoft publisher. PDF file and the menu was edited in Adobe

First printout was fine prior to making changes.

What did you edit in “Adobe” (there is no product called “Adobe” — we assume you mean Acrobat!)? And what tools did you use for the edits?

Where do these phantom lines appear? In images? Vector artwork? Text?

Since PDF is really a final form file format, in virtually all cases, you would be much better off doing your edits in the content creation program, in this case Publisher, and then creating a new PDF file.
