placing a - visable in preview - name of field

so I won't need to  defind the purpose of the field outside of the field. how is it being done?

in addition - lets say I want to creat a letter and place in all kind of parameters and to have them combining

smoothly with the rest of the letter?  for example - lets say I have this sentence:

your subscription to drop down (name of a newspaper) is about to expire.

and i want the sentence to have one space between every word of the sentence,

regardeless to how long the name of the newspaper is. how is it being done?
