Question

print drive does not install

When trying to install any of my Acrobat disks/versions the printer fails to set up in a 64-bit environment. The rest of Acrobat loads properly but when I go to save a file, convert, or print to PDF format I get an error message that the printer cannot be found.

This starts on installation when I get an error message that the PDF driver cannot be installed. It happens on versions 7, 8 and X.

I need to replace the computer at work and it will be a 64-bit machine. Has this problem been fixed or do I need to find a generic PDF program?

All of those versions are now unsupported.

Acrobat 7 and 8.0 cannot install a print driver on 64 bit systems.

But Acrobat X should work on systems up to Windows 8.

Focus on that. Or get a supported current version i.e. Acrobat DC (subscription recommended as it includes future updates sure to be needed)
