Question

Print using Black ink only. Save color catridges. Is it possible?

I had Adobe Reader (DC?) and I could print using black ink only. But then I bought Adobe Export PDF and since then everything prints using the color cartridges which are so expensive. I really only need to print drafts, I am not an expert. I use windows 7.

Now, even the Word documents I export from pdfs are coming in grey, which is a mixture made out of the three printing colors. I know I can get a black different color %, but that is not what I want. I want to print using only the black ink cartridge cause it is much cheaper, as I could do before buying the Exporter.  THANK YOU!!

Thank you Sukrit.

As explained in my question, I dont have any PRO products, so the windows are different and I am not offered those options. Moreover, the solutions proposed don't really address my problem as I don't want to "compose" any colors, I want plain black only.

The problem has extended now. I thought I could still print Word docs using black ink, but this Adobe extension has done something to my printer. Now everything is grey. It worked 5 minutes before buying the Convert PDF product and never since. I am really dissatisfied and I regret having trusted Adobe.
