Problem converting Word Documents that Use Content Controls
I am having a problem creating PDF documents from a Word document that use content controls. In particular, content controls that repeat data throughout the document template. I have tried two methods to create the repeating content controls (i.e., Document Property Content Controls and XML mapping), but I end up with the same problem. Example, I have seven content controls in my report template where information needs to be entered. The meeting date and report title content controls are copied into a second page header so that the information is repeated accordingly without having to be re-typed. The content controls work properly in Word using both methods. My problem occurs in the header information when I PDF multiple reports which need to be compiled into a packet for distribution to a board of directors. If I PDF the Word documents individually, there is no problem, but if I combine the documents with Acrobat's "Create and Combine documents into a Single File" feature, each of the reports displays an “18T” in the 2nd page header before the report title. The report title displays correctly, with this 18T information before it. Do you know how I can resolve this problem as I prefer to PDF the reports without having to convert them to PDF individually before combining them into the larger packet.
