Problem installing Acrobat DC on Mac

I am on an iMac 27inch Mid 2010 running Yosemite 10.10. I have tried installing Acrobat DC a number of times, initially I was unable to do so until I removed all old copies of Acrobat using the Adobe Uninstall utilities. After that it did start to install but failed with the following message below.

What can I do to solve this problem quickly? Thanks

These answers are for Windows.  How about a solution for Mac OS X!  Seriously guys, this is ridiculous that we cannot get answers to the most basic installation for Mac OS X.  This is not the kind of support I would expect from Adobe.  How do we fix the installation error??  No more links to pages of gobble gook.  We want an answer.
