Problems with form distribute

Can anyone help me out with distributing a form via email?

I prepare the form and click the Distribute button. Sometimes nothing happens, but most of the time a screen comes up where I select distribute via email. Most of the time nothing happens although sometimes I get a screen asking if I want to clear existing data in the form, and then 100% of the time nothing happens after that when I click Next.

I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC on Creative Cloud, version 2015.017.20053.

I have checked for updates and everything is up to date and otherwise in perfect working order. I have never tried this before so I have no idea if it has ever worked.

Any help would be really appreciated!
