question...why doesn't PDF editing work in all documents I scanned into a pdf FILE? IT WORKS ON DOCUMENTS I received as a PDF from some sources, but when i scan a docum,ent, which i just did, I cannot edit the text. I am using Acrobat X Pro permanent

When you scan, you need to run OCR first in order to be able to edit the files. When running OCR, make sure you select the "ClearScan" output format - you cannot edit when the recognized text is stored behind the scanned image. However, with Acrobat X, you will have a much harder time to edit scanned (and OCRed) documents than with a newer version of Acrobat. Both Acrobat XI and DC came with big improvements for this particular workflow.
