Reactivation of previously installed Acrobat 8 Pro

I have Acrobat 8.1 Pro. The software has started me giving trouble stating it requires activation. I bought this software several years ago and I have original box with serial number. I have re-installed the software and entered the serial number. Whenever, I tried to make PDf from my AutoCad drawings - off and on it will not print stating the software requires activation. After repairing - the software will work for a week or so and then it will quit. There are times when I try to down load PDF files from the net - it will do the same thing. When I tried to register - it says we are unable to contact Adobe to register your product. Only thing, when I re-install the software - I did deactivate the software. I am afraid - I may not be able to re-install the software because of being older version. I am not sure Adobe will activate this older version.

Can somebody advice me whether I could deactivate the software when removing it and I will be able to re-install the software and shall be able to activate 8.1 Pro?

I do not want to spend $450 for Version XI. I need help.

Thanks.

Hi Apan,

To deactivate Acrobat, open Acrobat navigate to help menu & select Deactivate/SignOut.

Acrobat 8 is really an old version & is be compatible with latest operating systems, so make sure you are using it in a compatible environment to make it fully functional.

Aadesh:

Thanks for responding. I am running Windows XP as my OS and 8 is compatible with it. My question is if I deactivate the software during removal and re-install it - will ADOBE activate this older version?
