Reader DC - ability to run as administrator

Use case: due to poor tech support, my win 8.1 laptop is unable to print from any application unless that app is run as administrator.  While inconvenient, it works.

Problem: unable to run Reader DC as Administrator on Win8.1.

Problem Detail: The Reader UI comes up when I click regular, but when right click - run as administrator, only a background process is spawned (no foreground UI appears).  Once a background process is spawned, I can no longer open Reader the regular way  But if I end all Reader background tasks, then I can open Reader the regular way again.

Attempted Fixes:

Help - repair installation done, but still have problem.

Rebooted and still same problem

Windows 8.1 has all the latest windows updates.

Reader DC version 2015.016.20041

Try creating a new Admin user account and check if you face the same issue .

Refer this link for creating a a new user account : Adobe troubleshooting: Creating an admin account in Windows
