Redact across multiple PDFs when OCR doesn't work

Is it possible to redact multiple PDFs (30,000 of them) when the text search function is not working successfully? I need to redact SSNs, but they are hand-written and are not recognized by the "search and replace" function. But they're all in the same space on the documents. So, is it possible to redact, say, using the same spot in a PDF across multiples? Like two inches from the bottom, three from the left, and 1/4 inch x 3 inch redaction box? I'm using Acrobat DC. Thanks.

It is possible, yes, but don't expect to be able to process 30K files in a single go.

From my experience Acrobat is not capable of handling more than around 500 files at a time, so you'll need to do it in batches.

Okay, that's good advice. But how do I do it, though?

You would need to create an Action (via the Action Wizard) that executes a script that adds the Redaction annotation in the desired location on all pages, and then applies it.
