I have the education versions of cs5 production premium and lightroom 3 installed on my desktop with the backups installed on my laptop. I am having problems with my laptop and would like to move the backups to another computer. Can I do this and if so how? I am old and don't have a great knowledge about installing software.
you'll need to use your installation files and serial numbers to install and activate on your other computer.
your serial numbers are retrievable from your current installations:

at the start of installation on your other computer, if you see an excess activation count error, you'll need to deactivate (help>deactivate) your cs5 and lightroom on your problematic laptop. (you can then uninstall from your laptop, too.)
