Rotation issues

I have a large document that we are printing double sided.  Several pages needed to be rotated.  No problem.  Saved file.  Everything looks fine on the screen and print preview.  When I send it to the printer the pages that I have rotated print with the rotation as prior to changing/saving the file.  Tried multiple computers and multiple printers.  Also checked the print drivers.  Am now having trouble extracting pages, error: Bad parameter.  Afraid file is corrupt.  Will take hours to rebuild the file.
