Scam or Viruses posing as Flash Update!!

Anyone else having a "bona fide" looking Adobe Flash update webpage show up with a separate Download UI window claiming to be Adobe Flash, BUT the website address bar says, "https://ziejaweleda.org/9903093391632/9903093391632/146161208081479/FlashPlayer.exe" ??  Just earlier today, but I think it has happened once before also.

I find this HIGHLY ALARMING!! It replaced a Wunderground weather page while I was away from the computer a few hours.  Luckily, I didn't just assume it really was legit, so I didn't click it.  WTH is going on?  I'm pretty sure Adobe would want to know if some hacker is using their "look" to install nasty shtuff on clients' PC's!

BUT... if ziejaweleda.org IS Adobe under another name for some CRAZY reason, WE SHOULD KNOW!!!  AND...you should SKIP forcing posters to CHOOSE A COMMUNITY when there's NO Flash and NO Security or any proper category!!  Wasted my time trying to help you, Adobe!

Win-7x64, 3.4 to 3.8GHz Quad core i5, 16GB RAM, SATA3 mobo & sys SSD plus Data HDD's, AMD Radeon 7800HD 2GB....blah, blah.

You have posted in the Acrobat security forum, why not the Flash Player forum?

But the chances are that this is a scam. If it appeared when you visited a legitimate site the possibilities are

* site is hacked

* this is advertising on the site which is designed to hack

* your machine is compromised to offer bad pages

Google Chrome refuses to visit that site, saying it has been reported as unsafe. Unfortunately, copying a good web site and attaching to trusted brand names is a hacker's favourite trick. Adobe rarely have the power to close these things down, they are usually in a distant part of the world with different laws. To get software, if you are told you need it, ignore a popup and go to the original source (here http://get.adobe.com/flash ) .

When I get an alert from a Web site that Flash player needs update I never click on the link that this alert provides, I always go to adobe.com to update Flash player. Some malicious sites put out such alert to lure the users to click on their link and install malware. I was getting such alerts when I was sure that I had the latest Flash version installed on my machines.

I was on ocala.com when the browser was redirected to this site. This took place earlier this morning, probably around 9AM ET.

I just sent an email explaining what happened to me, to Gatehouse Media (The parent company of Ocala.com). Hopefully they will be able to find the issue and secure their system.

Just scanned my computer, just in case... For the record: No viruses here.

Thanks for responding!  I wasn't given a Flash Player Forum as a Community choice at the time, PLUS I felt it was more of a Security issue and would get noticed that way (and it did).  A few searches of Adobe's site didn't find anything like this, so I thought Adobe should know about it.

I will continue to be careful about the beautiful but sometimes dangerous Internet !
