Yes, you can do that. I hope, You have Acrobat X (Default Acrobat came with CS6) or Acrobat XI.

- Launch Acrobat and open file

- Go to Tools> Pages> More Insert options> Insert From Scanner

- Select any preset or Custom Scan

- There comes a pop-up asking where do you want to insert the pages

- Select the option you want and scan

*Note: Tool name is different for Acrobat DC. For Acrobat DC its Enhance Scan or Organize pages.

Hope it will resolve your issue. Please feel free to ask anything you want.

Thanks.

Lovekesh,

No pop up comes up asking where to insert pages.

This is the next screen.  After this it begins to scan.  There is no choice to choose where to insert the page; neither under Capture or Adjust.

This is a scanner interface comes after we click scan of Acrobat. After this, there must be a dialog asking to insert pages at location.

Also Acrobat X is very old version which got expired years back.

Can you please try to install trial version of latest Acrobat DC. It has much better and improved options to scan. There is a separate tools "Organize pages", which handle this property where to insert pages.

Download Adobe Acrobat free trial | Acrobat Pro DC

Thanks.
