Selecting multiple typewriter text boxes

At my job, I have to fill out lots of forms, and the best way to do this is using the typewriter (I used to turn them into forms but this was often more hassle than it was worth). Often, I have to fill out basically the same form on a new project and generally I just select all of the typewriter boxes on an old form using ctrl+click. The problem is, I have to do this hundreds of times, sometimes 30 or 40 times per page. When I try to select using the lasso tool, it doesn't select any of the typewriter boxes. Is there a way to select all of the typewriter boxes on a page without individually clicking each one? Any help is appreciated.
