Question

Send for signature security

I'm trying to figure out if Acrobat DC send for signature feature is secure enough to use for IRS signature compliance. I want to be able to create a fillable form in DC, send it to the client for signature, and have it returned. I'm also trying to find out how to be sure I'm abiding by IRS e-signature requirements with just Acrobat DC, not having to use the e-sign along with it if possible.

I did see a free login for something called Document Cloud. Might that be secure enough for the IRS?

I'm having trouble finding this process explained in the help files. Does anyone know where I can look?

I hope I posted this in the right forum.

Thanks.

For tax forms the IRS has its own signature process for tax forms and payments. This process predates the signature and digital certificates by a number of years.

You may need to talk with the IRS customer service about this.
