setSelectedLayers bug?

I have a command made that does not work properly when called by the Commands drop down menu nor by the swf panel I created for it.  BUT when I drop the jsfl file into the flash window it works properly.  This problem occurs only in Flash CS6 and up.  It works properly with Flash 8 to Flash CS5.  There is no error in the output window, but I can tell that the command is failing at a certain line that involves "setSelectedLayers".

Is this a Bug?  Is there a workaround? Please help.

Some smart fella seems to say there is a jsfl Timeline Bug involving setSelectedLayers, indicated in his list. JSFL bugs and gotchas | xJSFL  If this is a bug, please adobe, fix this asap.
