Size of Toolbars - Acrobat Pro DC

My Acrobat Pro XI automatically converted to Pro DC, possibly through a company update.    The tool items are now very large.   I was able to reduce the size in Pro XI under "Edit - Preferences -  Scale for screen resolution" , by setting to 100%.   This is not longer available in the Pro DC and can only set to "Auto Detect".   Is there any other way to change this scale in Pro DC?    I find the larger size a waste of space and distracting.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.   Thanks!
