Solution for Blank PDFs not redrawing after idle for a few minutes?

Acrobat Pro DC:  I have turned on 1 page fit, 1 page layout, and cleared all the smooth text/borders settings.  Still getting this behavior and was same behavior experienced in Nuance Ecopy PDF Pro before switching to Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.

The environment is Mac clients connecting to a Citrix XenApp 7.6 server farm running Server 2012 R2 on VMWare guests.
