Spontneous Field jumping and validation error messages
Hi everyone,
I am currently creating a form in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. I have two issues.
First one, is I have radio buttons for people to identify a mutually exclusive identifier (i.e. role as it relates to the project). When I test the form, I click on any one of those radio buttons and I get a java script validation error AND the form has jumped to a different page and question where I am experiencing the second issue described below. When I scroll back up to the radio buttons, my choice is identified.
I have looked at properties, I have looked at actions, I have checked tab order. Everything I can think of. Any ideas?
Second issue is that we have some ranking questions (wish adobe would figure out how to do that ... as in rank the following items in order of importance) . Anywho, for people to rank items in importance from 1-6, I am asking the people to enter the value they correlate with the statement and to use the number only once. I'm hoping the people do as they are asked as I don't have time or the desire to learn code (this is why we buy software...so we don't all need to learn code). So I have text boxes that are a) limited to one character AND b) in number (0 decimals) format, AND c) to be validated from 1 to 6. sounds logical to me BUT when I test the form I get a java script message that regardless of the number (including 1,2.3,4,5,6) I get an error message.
This is tight turnaround (2 hrs) for me so any help other than offering the following suggestions would be greatly appreciated
a) have you reviewed the properties - yes I have
b) have you tried resetting the properties - yes I have
c) have you rebuilt the form - yes I have this is #3 or maybe 4
d) have you entered your own validation script - no, and frankly I am not willing to
(see note above about learning code).
Thank you in advance. if I figure it out I will post my own answer just in case anyone else experiences this.
