My application Adobe Acrobat XI version 11.0.4 run until 1 year without problems.

Since than, starting the application the message is shown "The application seems to be defect, please reinstall". De- and new-installation doesn't help. Installation from net and update to 11.0.14 doesn't help also. What can I do? A discussion within this forum one year ago had no success. Perhaps meanwhile my fault is generally known.

Please help!

Hi hajol60490487 ,

Please provide the OS version installed on your system. If you have Windows OS would request you to please try running the cleaner tool "Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs" on your machine to remove all traces of Acrobat .

Then, restart your machine and install the latest version of Acrobat from here:

Hi YatharthS

just to be sure:

My PC is running on Mac OS 10.7.5 . Additionally I can run the system via Parallels Desktop by Windows 8.1. (I need this only for the application AutoCad, but normally my Computer runs by Mac OS.

If I do understand you right I only de-install now again my Adobe Acrobat XI, restart my Computer and than re-install it from the link, you've sent me.

Is this correct?

Thank you in before

Hi YatharthS

sorry, your recommendation didn't help.

I de-installed Acrobat XI, the container Adobe Acrobat XI was than totally disappeared.

I restarted my computer and installed "the latest version" 11.0.07

The installation showed finally "Die Installation war erfolgreich" (The installation was successful)

Than with some hopeful feeling I tried to start Acrobat XI, but, so sorry, again the message came "The application seems to to be damaged, please reinstall …."

Please show my alternative ways, thank you

Yours Hajo
