Strange behavior when saving PDF as optimized

I noticed something strange happening when saving as optimized. Before:

and after:

Notice the small caps dropped out and a large space was inserted between organiza and tions. I sent the file to some colleagues running the same OSX (10.11.5) and same acrobat (2015.016.20039). Some got the same results while others didn't get the small caps dropping out and the space.

Any idea what could be causing this? Ever since switching to DC we've had other problems such as being unable to combine certain files in DC but able to combine in Xii and exporting a PDF in FileMaker causing crashes.

Hi.

It look likes PDF Optimizer removed some fonts…

Untick the Font tab in the PDF Optimizer and retry…

Will it be possible to share a sample file with engineering team to take a look at what's causing this problem on some machines? Do you remember, if you did change any default Optimizer settings before saving the PDF file?

You can share the file @ vgrover at adobe.com

Hi Vishal,

Before I send the files, we would like to know if Adobe has any sort of policy in place for what they do with the files once they have used them for testing?
