Subscription vs. Desktop licence
do you get free updates with the full desktop version of acrobat pro dc as and when they are released? As you would with the subscription version.

you get free updates, but not free upgrades.
ie, when adobe releases a major version upgrade from acrobat dc, that will not be free to non-subscribers. minor version updates (still acrobat dc) are free to non-subscribers.
subscribers get free updates (minor version changes) and free upgrades (major version changes).
