tables with cells not comprised of fillable fields

I'm trying to duplicate a table that contains cells with both static text and fillable fields. Is this even possible? In answers I've seen here regarding tables, the assumption seemed to be that each cell of the table would be a fillable field, rather than cells with fillable fields incorporated within.

There's no such thing as tables in PDF files (except for those created using LiveCycle Designer). What you see are indeed separate fields on top of static graphic elements.
