This is insanity! HELP!!!!

Question

I bought a Fujitsu scanner which also gets me Adobe Acrobat DC. In a moment of sheer stupidity, I went about trying to put my 24 digit code in to register and validate the software.  Big mistake.  I have downloaded what I thought to be the right program and eventually was able to enter my 24 digit redemption code.  Now I still can't look at a PDF without Adobe asking me to log in.  When I do, it asks me if I want a trial or purchase.  Then I got a message saying  I installed some incorrect version of DC and that I would have to uninstall it first. I cannot find it. adobe Acrobat DC is clearly in my list of programs, but I still can't get this finished and I'm at the end of my rope.  Please help if you can. Thanks you.

uninstall acrobat dc (and any other versions of acrobat/reader you may have).

if you have windows, clean per Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

restart your computer.

install using the installation file supplied by fujitsu your serial number.

if you don't have a serial number, https://redeem.licenses.adobe.com/getserial

only if you didn't get an installation files and if fujitsu did not supply a download link should you use the adobe installation files:
