Question

Trialled DC Pro, bought DC Standard. Now it doesn't work because "the trial has expired"

I trialled DC Pro and set it as the default PDF program, but eventually purchased DC Standard instead. I have uninstalled DC Pro and reinstalled DC Standard. If I try to open a document, the tab in the top l.h. corner shows me that DC Pro opened it, even though DC Pro is no longer resident on the machine. If I try to print a PDF from, e.g. Word, I cannot because "the trial has expired" and Windows hangs. Clearly the problem arose because something in Windows still thinks that DC Pro is the default PDF program. So I have a piece of software that I have paid for which does not work. Help, please!

Unfortunately none of the solutions offered on the page you referenced

work. Please give further options. Also please note that I trialled one version

of DC but bought a different version. That seems to be at the root of the

problem.

Thank you.

uninstall your acrobat dc.

run the cleaner per Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

restart your computer.

install the perpetually licensed acrobat dc.

Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages.  They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3.  If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'.
