uppgraded to windows 10

When I upgraded my PC from Windows 7 to Windows 10 I was asked to register my Acrobat reader Pro versjon 8. But when I try to register I'm told that I'm not connected to internet or that I haven't activated my Java reader. Both arguments are wrong as both internett Java are OK.

I can see that I probably should have de-installed my lisens before I upgraded, but I got the same answer when I tried then, and found no way on Adobes internet page to de-install manually and hoped the upgrade would bring the license along

I'm retired many years ago and nowadays need this Pro versjon just occasionally in some hobby activities to keep old skills alive, and am not neither in position nor interested to subscribe a new versjon. My old versjon 8 originally from 2006 has just what i need.

Please tell me what I can do.

Hi sverreb68403849,

Exactly what's the error message?

There is no Acrobat Reader Pro version 8.

Reader is a free application doesn't require any registration.

You must be using Acrobat 8 Pro. Let me inform you that Acrobat 8 is neither compatible with Windows 7 nor with Windows 10, so it may or may not work.

However try the connectivity troubleshooting steps mentioned in this KB doc. Solutions to sign-in, activation, and connection errors with Creative Cloud and Creative Suite applications‌.

Hello and thanks for Answer.
You ar quite right - the correct name is Acrobat 8 Pro. Screenshots of the messages are enclosed.

The program still works (on Win10) except that I every startup have to say that I'll never register. Most of the tools neither works - as example the making fill out forms. All these worked fine under Windows 7.

As an alternative - Can you reset my lisence for reinstallation on one of my older computers?
