Using the PDF viewer without making a firewall exeption

Hello,I'm trying to use adobe acrobat pdf viewer without allowing it through my firewall or allowing anyone to collect any information about me. I haven't been successful. Plus, I will be offline more than I am online. Can anyone tell me how to try out this program without allowing it through the firewall or using it offline?

Adobe Acrobat needs Internet access to verify you have paid for it. Or did you mean the free Adobe Acrobat Reader? That seems it should run offline, what happens?
