Visible panes when opening full screen...

Apologies if this is I the wrong forum. Mods feel free to move.

I have a file that open full screen. That file has a button set to do two things: Open a new file in the same window, and close the current file.

The new file is set to open in full screen, but when it opens I get panes on the left and right sides.  I don't want the panes to appear...how do I keep them from displaying?

I'm creating the files using Acrobat Pro XI, and the files are being viewed in Acrobat Reader XI.

Are you experiencing this behavior on other computers? Or, is this happening only on your developing computer? Reason I ask is that this may be caused by local settings of your Acrobat Reader.

Are you able to create a new test PDF that opens full Screen on that same computer and that behaves in the manner you want (no side panels)? Or, how does the above PDF behave on other computers?

If it behaves like you want on another computer, try Acrobat > Preferences and check pertinent settings.

Can you make a fresh test PDF (just a plane doc with limited or no content; i.e. "Hello") with Pro XI that executes properly (Full Screen view with no side panels)?

In order to open a file in full screen mode, the document will need to be "trusted" meaning that the user will have had to either opened the file at least once and set the file to be trusted always or have put the file in a trusted folder. If you plan on distributing these files as a set, that's going to be a problem as "trust" is user defined.

If you just need to run these in full screen on your own system, trusting the file always when prompted should do the trick.

Thank you for the reply, but I'm not sure I'm following you about the "trust".

Both files are located on the same network.  The first file opens up fullscreen with no problem.  When the button is clicked and the new file opens, this is what I get:

The pane on the left and the slider on the right are what I'm trying to get rid of.  If I open the file directly (not from the first file) they do not appear.

I greatly appreciate your help.

Ah... that's not what I was picturing from your description. It doesn't look like trust is the issue here. I'm not sure what would be causing that problem.
