This is something that always puzzled me: Why doesn't Adobe implement some kind of message that lets you know that you have an on-going subscription to Acrobat when you use Reader? Since you have to be logged-in to your account, why not make use of it and let customers know they're (potentially) using the wrong product? Of course, there should be an option to disable this notification in case you're using Reader on purpose but I believe it will help a lot of people that are paying and don't understand why they don't get the functions they're paying for.

Hi ,

You have purchased Acrobat however you did not license it with your Adobe ID and password. This is the reason you are being redirected to the subscription page.

Click on subscribe now and license it with your Adobe credentials and you would good to go.
