what are extended features?

I downloaded a fillable file from the IRS, filled it in, saved it, and printed it. I later went back to change one item and received the message "extended features are no longer available." Help!

It's referring to settings within the file that control what Reader is able to do that it normally cannot. Things like saving. The reason they're no longer available isn't clear, but it can be due to a number of different things.
