What shows up on my screen does not show up on someone else's when I attach to email.

I have Acrobat Pro DC.  I used to have Acrobat 9.  I scanned in a map.  I used the Polygon tool to outline certain parcels of land on the map and used a fill in color with a low percentage of opacity.  When I send the map as an attachment in an email.  All they can see is the original map I scanned and the two text boxes that I inserted at the top.  None of the 5 colors that I put on the map show up.  Anyone have any ideas on how to make this work???

What are the recipients using to display the PDF file? Not all PDF viewers support all features that Adobe's PDF viewers can show. If they for example are using webmail and are using Chrome to access a webmail account, the PDF files will be rendered in Chrome's own PDF viewer, which has it's limitations, the same is true for Firefox if it's not configured to use the Adobe viewer and the MS Edge browser. Chrome and Edge cannot be configured to show PDF files within the browser using Adobe's viewer. See here for more information:

If it's not a browser problem, please find out what software exactly they are using to view these PDF files.

Thank you Karl.  I had kind of assumed the same thing.  I sent to several people.  The only one having a problem with it is a MAC user.  Is there anything specific with MAC that you know of that would prevent viewing correctly?  Other than not having the latest Adobe Reader I mean.

The default viewer for PDF files on a Mac is Apple's Preview.app, which is also not on par with Adobe's viewers. On the Mac, if the free Reader is installed, it should set itself up as the default PDF viewer.
