When I print a large document Acrobat either adds extra pages or removes blank pages that i need in my document. i'm having other formatting problems as well. How can i stop this from happening?

I was printing over 300 copies of a 117 double sided document 50 copies at a time. Acrobat DC started adding extra blank pages putting my numbering off. When I took it out of Edit mode it stopped doing it.  Later the same day I went to print more it removed all blank pages even the ones I needed.  When I put it in Edit mode it stopped doing it.Is any one else having this issue? Does anyone know how to fix it?
