Don't download DC as a trial or upgrade and you can continue using your old app, though it may be unsupported like the rest of CS6.

already downloaded DC.  Can I just remove it?

Hi BeVisualWeb ,

Would request you to please try this step :-  Acrobat > Edit > Preferences > General , uncheck the option for 'Show me Messages When I launch Adobe Acrobat ' , then OK .
